The Crushed Candy Ring in Pale Purple with Shirley brings a striking, artistic narrative to your style.

A delicate glass cabochon is crafted using pale purple frit, casting a hand-pierced copper element featuring the detailed “Shirley” face design directly within the glass jewel. During the kiln firing, the copper naturally reacts with the glass to develop a shimmering, deep violet colour.

The setting is intentionally left open at the back to let the face design catch the light. The glass cabochon is secured in a plain bezel setting that is elevated to capture maximum light and enhance internal reflections. The jewel is set onto a smooth sterling silver ring band that has been deliberately blackened for a deep, high-contrast finish.

In the sun, the translucent purple glass catches direct light, making the central portrait glow with beautiful clarity.

Ring is not officially hallmarked but does have my maker’s mark and the price reflects this.
