One-of-a-kind wearable art in glass and metal

Each piece is conceived then made entirely by hand with all elements formed and constructed from raw materials.

Process-led work develops with qualities that cannot be fully controlled or repeated.

Individual, not production.

Working from my home studio in Plymouth, I create pieces in glass and metal, developing techniques through process and experimentation.

The work is shaped slowly, each element made by hand and brought together through traditional silversmithing techniques.

Within collections of ideas, all work is one of a kind.

Glass is used for its relationship with light, bringing colour and luminosity, while allowing surface to be developed through process.

It is the only material that can withstand the temperatures required for the reactions with metal that occur during firing, while remaining transparent and allowing the metal to remain visible within the work.

It allows for a controlled way of working where subtle changes can lead to unpredictable results. It cannot be replicated by substitutes and it holds its clarity over time.
